Blessed are they whose ways are blameless, who walk according to the law of the LORD. Blessed are they who keep his statutes and seek him with all their heart. Psalm 119:1-2
Peace prevails over brutality. Man can recover from anything.
God has given us free will, the subtle ability to make our own choices between good and evil. This choice resides in all of our daily actions, no matter how simple or small it is. Each decision we make will influence our lives by defining the person we wish to become in the present moment or shortly.
It defines our most profound nature, what makes us human beings. So, yes, I believe that the good and bad lie in each of us: the light and the dark. We go through storms that build our character, our skills to be better, that allow us to reveal the best in each of us.
What determines it are our choices in the face of the situations we encounter, that we endure, and our ability to continue to move forward by remaining faithful to our values, our principles every day that God offers us on this earth.
Let us try to remember that there is always a day that follows night. Life prevails over death; as much as possible, let us choose love.
Love of self, love of our fellow man, no matter what we are going through. It is not easy, I grant you, yes, but it is what makes us stronger.
With each trial we go through, we become more powerful, we have a clear vision, at the end of the day, what is life if not to enjoy the moment we have to spend on this earth.
